Just because you're a hobo don't mean you have to hoof it all the time. Sometimes even a hobo wants some WHEELS.
Not that you have to be a hobo to enjoy this car.
Perfection is SO over-rated! The rusty, scratched up, smoking, backfiring Wingsong Hobo Jalopy ADD is living proof of this. But do not be fooled by outward appearances! This little car is chock-full of fun features that will keep you in the driver’s seat for hours! Let’s see if I can remember them all.
FEATURES and HOW TO USE
1 - Turn off other Animation Overrides to avoid conflicts. ADD your Wingsong Hobo Jalopy. Move using normal keys.
2 - The original Wingsong animations are whimsical, with just a hint of bounce as you sit still, drive, fly, turn.
3 - You have dual discreet onboard audio systems. (A) Click on the license plate for a menu of 9 fun vehicular sounds (mostly horns of various types). (B) Your jalopy has an idle sound that automatically turns on when you move; you can turn this on full time by clicking on the spare tire.
4 - The headlights emit a real illumination – turn on or off by touching the left headlight.
5 - The smoke? It’s a jalopy! Of course it has smoke! Anyone can make a car that doesn’t smoke, but our Wingsong Mechanics have worked long and hard to provide you with these state of the art choking, nearly blinding exhaust fumes! Click on the exhaust pipe to turn your smoke on and off.
6 - The aesthetics are arguably amusing. We’ve installed a realistic rusty old steering wheel, a vintage dashboard, realistic glass in the headlights, some of the best old tires we could find from our local garage, an old cargo crate that we use in a lot of our packaging at the Wingsong Warehouse, a worn out but very comfortable seat cushion, rusty/scratched old fenders, and steel bolted plates for the body. The floor board is an old oak running board we had lying around out behind the barn. The steering column is a lovely polished rosewood. Brazilian, if I am not mistaken. And we splurged and put in a brand spanking new windshield - but we hit a rock on our first test run and we're too lazy to replace it!
8 - Don't like the upholstery or the seating base? Although they are both modifiable, we've installed a handy texture changer in each one. Click on them for a menu of onboard textures. Add your OWN textures by dragging them from your inventory into the prim you want them to appear in; the menu will update automatically. Each prim holds a total of 22 textures.
9 - The wheels turn when you drive.
10 - We installed a Boat Mode so you can drive over any natural Linden water.
11 - As for rideability – this car is GREAT! The Wingsong mechanics have spent hours test driving it around the grid, on roads, tracks, mountains. It is well aligned, and will NOT get you tangled up in ban lines. Because it's wearable, you don’t have to look for a rez spot. And because the tires are made of glass you will encounter less friction as you drive. (A little known fact – glass tires run better than the standard “wood” tires most cars are installed with).
The avatar rendering cost (ARC) is VERY low, so you won’t add much to the local lag!
AND it’s COPY/MOD, so you can make a fleet of these and spruce them up to your own specs! As a courtesy, we've presized and prepositioned TWO Wingsong Hobo Jalopies in this package: medium and large; these will fit most humanoid avatars.
