The product range features audio samples of ATC operations to add an authentic soundscape for aviators and airports control towers. A Talk2Region comms system provides an easy to use sim-wide chat relay system, ideal for formation flying with friends or managing ground traffic at an airport. Available in a range of products - a wearable headphone set, and rezzable versions for ground stations. The features and usage are unified across the product range.

* Rez the "Airfield radio" and/or "Satcom radio"

FEATURE DESCRIPTIONS

* ATC Radio chatter
Turn this on to play an audio background of ATC radio. Randomly plays 59 short clips of ATC operations in the vicinity of Vancouver and Anchorage. All units have a volume control, and a setting to vary the random intervals for Quiet, Medium or Busy radio traffic. On the ground stations touching the LCD display will immediately play a single random sample.

* Talk2Region (T2R) radio
This tool simplifies chat communications between any users of enabled devices, range limited to within the same sim/region, no need to SHOUT!. The radio listens for the pilot speaking in local (channel 0), with an option to toggle between open mic (all chat) or a # message prefix to broadcast only specific messages (like Press To Talk). The radio transmits the message on a private channel that will be heard by any T2R receivers in the region The receiver calculates the distance between the radio stations and will echo any messages that originated beyond normal Talk range (ie 20m)

DEVICE DESCRIPTIONS

* Ground stations
The rezzable radios have a security check to restrict menu access to Owner, Group, or Public. Only the owner can change this setting, press the menu button to cycle through the options. To maintain public privacy the ground stations do not have an "open mic" option to transmit the user must Touch/click the radio handset and type their message into a Text Box, the message is repeated locally by the radio and broadcast. Touch the device for the menu. The LCD glow indicates on/off state. Touch the LCD to play a single random ATC broadcast. The Russian radio set also has a master on/off switch and a row of glow buttons instead of the LCD. Ground stations also give out free copies of the "Receive only" HUD.

* Talk2Region: RX hud
This simple HUD is provided with COPY+TRANSFER permissions and distributed in all [YA] Radio System products. It in a receive-only device that will allow any avatar to tune in to T2R comms without purchasing a transmitter. They are offered from the menu of all the ground stations.
