YavaScript Pod V5.0 guided tour system is an extensive development and rewrite of the popular YavaScript Pod V3 transport system. It is the version that you might have seen running on roads in world (though in-world versions have some minor development enhancements).
Its main features are:
Customisable:
- add your own textures, or re-make the vehicle to your own design. Buyers of this pod may additionally request the balloon, boat or funicular railway versions for no extra charge (these can be seen and tried on my land).
Physical OR non-physical movement:
- smooth rides for physical;
- the ability to go through things, or use vehicles with more than 31 prims, for non-physical;
- change between physical and non-physical mid-tour.
Auto-rezzer:
- One vehicle can stay rezzed; when a ride is taken, a new one will rez in its place. The ridden vehicle will delete on completion of the tour.
Caller:
- No vehicles need to be left rezzed; users just click the caller to get a vehicle.
Or leave permanently rezzed:
- Either waiting for a rider, or use the LOOP function to set vehicle on a continuous path.
Up to 12 tours per pod:
- Selectable by the first rider to sit, from a menu.
Easy set-up for owner:
- Menu driven; select commands from the menu. Output written to standard chat, which you simply copy and paste into a notecard and place in the vehicle.
Commentary:
- Vehicle can give a commentary as you travel.
Sim crossings:
- The internal use of the SL global coordinate system means sim crossings for the pod are no problem.
Wait/return tours:
- Riders can be taken to a place - such as a skybox, and the pod can wait for them (you specify how long). They can then get back on, to return - the return tour being separately specified.
- This same mechanism can be used to link a series of tours together, waiting for the rider at each location.
Rez objects:
- Anything can be rezzed by the pod; temporary items maybe, for effect;
- or drop a skybox into the pod (an example is provided), and let users ride up and have their own skybox. A script is provided in the example to cause the rezzed object to delete when the visitors have left.
Copy/Mod:
- You can extract the scripts, and use them in your own vehicle.
- Main scripts are not modifiable.

I have had a lot of fun (and frustrations at times!) creating this system. I believe it is now the most advanced such system in SecondLife. If you find a competing tour system which compares, I would like to know.

The only thing I would ever charge for would be custom enhancements, which would be considered on a case by case basis.

I purchased this thinking I may not ever use it as I was certain I would not be able to set it up, boy was I wrong, the instructions are so clear and it was very easy, took me only a few minutes, I love this Pod, its fantastic and works very well and is not all bumpy when riding in it, The creater even sent me a mssg thanking me and let me know if I had questions to let her know, Thats what i call great customer service. Ich lasse auf meiner SIM einen Bus fahren.
Und ein Taxi, dass bestimmte touren fährt. Und einen Taxistand, der ein Taxi ruft.
Alles wesentlich realistischer, als die „schnöden“ Teleporter.
Und es ist sehr einfach zu bedienen.

Yavanna die Scripterin ist sofort da, wenn es ein Problem gibt weil ich etwas nicht verstehe, oder man etwas Besonderes möchte.
So etwas habe ich in SL in dieser Art noch nicht erlebt.
Sie kommt vor Ort, schaut sich das Problem an und löst es blitzschnell.

5 for the product.
It can really move everything in SL what you can imagine.
I have a bus on my SIM.
And a taxi that drives certain tours. And a taxistand calling a taxi.
Everything is much more realistic, than the "vulgar" teleporters.
And it is very easy to use.
5 stars for the service
Yavanna the scripter is there immediately, if there is a problem because I do not understand something, or you want something special.
I've never seen anything like this in SL.
She comes on site, looks at the problem and solves it fast.

Sooo much fun
Worth every linden. Can't even begin to tell you how much fun I'm having with this! Super easy set up, menu driven, notecard edits. 100% pure awesome. Laughed with my wife, said shes gonna come home and look and I'm gonna have 50 pods set up going all over the place haha. Main purpose we got this was we have 2 shops on neighboring sims. Instead of a boring ol teleport between them for customers they can now take a ride back and forth. This is gonna give me hour and hours of fun. Love new toys :)
Great Service - Great Product!
This is absolutely the best tour system in SL - run by a thoughtful and caring lady who makes sure you are both satisfied and pleased with the final product! WOW - if more creators could be like this would make it so much more pleasant to buy stuff. I tried one called Observation Orb Tour 3.2

Simply Incredible and best Customer Care!
Firstly I would like to say that Yavanna is incredibly helpful and kind to her customers! I had weird silly questions and she was super patient with me... Then on top of it add an amazing product with the most high tech and user friendly scripting ever. Seriously it's a super complicated device but her script simplifies it to the point that literally anyone on SL can use it!!! It does so much and it's really fun to use :) Great buy <3 TY TY again :)
Amazing product
Amazing product and a lot of fun...soon as I bought it the creator sent a IM to say thanks and if I needed help setting up, as it happened I did as I wanted a large 1 hour tour, she came straight over and asked what I wanted the pod to do, after this she went away re scripted it to what I wanted, came back 30 mins later with the finished thing. Worked like a dream. This seller not only made this great product but really looks after her customers. 10 stars. ps i think very easy to set up if you have a bit more sl skills than i lol.
