Don't come with door handles, confusing.
The instructions for these sculpted doors are unclear and assume sculpting knowledge. I rezzed example 4, expecting a 1-prim door, but it was just a plain block of wood without a handle. While customizable, this defeats the purpose of a 1-prim solution.
The concept of "side doors" adds unnecessary complexity. I sought a simple, ready-to-use 1-prim door, not a DIY project. The product title is misleading; it should be "1-Prim Door Frame/Base."
This was disappointing, though the low price mitigates the impact. I feel deceived, as I expected a complete door, not a frame. Moreover, some "1-prim" doors actually require additional prims, which is wasteful.
The designer could have optimized these by utilizing transparency instead of separate prims for side elements. For instance, door_surround_example 3's "side doors" are purely aesthetic and could be part of the main door's texture, saving prims. This approach seems to have been overlooked, resulting in unnecessary prim usage.
Maybe it's me, but the whole point of a product being "1 prim" not 2/3/4, etc this is so that the customer doesn't then waste 4 prims on 4 doors resulting in 16 prims! Suffice to say if you are looking for a door frame or base: this is what it is for NOT a door that has 1 prim but rather a wooden base with elements that can be used to make a door. It is NOT however a singular door using 1 prim as it lacks the handle a secret sliding panel perhaps but not technically a door.
Consider this an informative lesson on what to look out for before hitting the big buy it now button and presuming it is just a simple door kit that functions as expected. As because I am giving you honest feedback I will give you 3 stars and not 4 or 5 as it is not technically a door, and is not technically 1 prim. It is however cheap, wooden and door shaped.
Great way to make your own doors
Be warned you must understand and know how to make full use of sculpt maps in order to use. Do not expect to rez out a complete door, but if you understand how to use the maps and textures I think you will be a happy customer.
