The Zambooki animations are over a decade old, and it may be that tastes have changed in the direction of greater realism in SL. On several counts, though, this fell short.
First, there are only two "drinking through a straw" animations in the package. (The other two animations are simply sits with hands moving aimlessly.) Gender is irrelevant in this set: there are two drinking animations, one sitting and one kneeling on a stool.
Second, when drinking a malt, soda, milkshake, or anything else served in a large glass, people hold the glass steady with one hand and (usually) keep the straw in position with the other. (Try it yourself!) In this set, only the kneeling animation has a hand moving toward the straw. Neither has a hand touching the glass. The sitting animation does make the AV lean forward with head bent, but that's it.
Oddly, the package comes with the table and stools shown in the illustration. As a demo, though, it has problems--in testing it, I didn't come close to the glass. Perhaps it was intended for outsize AVs.
For what this is, the price does seem excessive....
