Developed by the earth federation and made popular by bounty hunters, this pistol features custom mixed sound effects that give it the presence it deserves.

•Weapon History

As the Earth Federation expanded its influence among the stars, it became clear that traditional military equipment, and even some civilian firearms, were simply too dangerous for use by Marines aboard ships and inside certain areas of colonies.

A need arose for a sidearm which could be discharged without fear of puncturing even a thin hull, in order to ensure that missed shots didn't endanger the lives of those Marines engaged in combat.

The results of the 2639 weapons trials were conclusive. One weapon outperformed all others, and was adopted for use as a service sidearm in space operations. What came to be known as the Type 2646 Paralyzer Pistol.

Originally intended as a survival weapon or last ditch option, the 'Zero Pistol' fires low-power, high-voltage magnetic construct projectiles, pairing an extremely low-yield plasma with an electromagnetic pulse meant to interrupt synaptic activity in targets, thus rendering the effected area numbed and unresponsive for a short period of time.

This design meant that while the pistol would be effective at slowing and eventually killing targets, as well as preventing an effective attack from targets, there was essentially no chance in the weapon piercing the external hull of a ship or colony.

•Operations Manual

Intended as the primary weapon in these situations, the pistol is drawn using the /1draw command. The weapon can fire a total of 15 rounds at a sustained rate before needing to recharge for 1.5 seconds, but can be manually recharged using /1reload. The weapon comes with a standard issue thigh holster, and can be stowed with /1sling.

While this weapon has been set up and balanced for SLMC use, it's also just fine for RP use, and is intended to look, sound, and feel authentic to Metroid first and foremost.

This weapon will be compatible with our other Operator sets, so collect them all to mix and match.
