The Agitos, the Paralympic logo, is a symbol of the Paralympic Games of sport and achievement held just after the Olympic Games every 4 years. It is a separate but also similar event for disabled, physically and mentally, including many unique sports special to these Games only.
The three curves called the 'Agitos' means "spirit in motion", symbolising movement and dynamic. The three colours that make up the logo are colours that appear in every single nations flag, either just the one colour or two or even all three.
The Games were born in England in Stoke Mandeville Hospital where during the second world war and after war victims of horrendous injuries were rehabilitated using methods such as sport. From then it has grown into an international and widely-recognised Games in its own right running parallel to the Olympics every 4 years.
