In Greek mythology, maenads were the female followers of Dionysus (Bacchus in the Roman pantheon), and the most significant members of the god's retinue. Their name literally translates as "raving ones". Often the maenads were portrayed as inspired by Dionysus into a state of ecstatic frenzy, through a combination of dancing and intoxication.

So "Maenad" invites you into the forest, for a dance. With wine and laughter, amongst Dyonisus and his companions.

The outfit includes two shades in each color set, plus a matching contrast color for underdress layer. Available colors are **ONYX/MIDNIGHT** with silver contrast, **GOLD/CANARY** with optional tangerine color splash, **RED/AUBERGINE** with a dip of pink, **PINK/PURPLE** with added red for passion deluxe, **TEAL/BLUE** with kiwi contrast option, **WHITE/PEARL** with elegant gold, and **OLIVE/CHOCOLATE** with a bit of kiwi again. And there's always our **COLOR PACK** including all color pieces if you'd like to go for the ultimate mix-and-matching fun.

Maenad's mini dress is made of rigged mesh and comes in 7 sizes (XXS-XL plus a deformer mesh) based on the standard sizing system. With update v2.0, we as well added fitted mesh sizes for Maitreya Lara and Slink Hourglass mesh bodies. All sets include separate attachment options for train and silk highlights, and Omega body appliers as well as a matching bra applier for Lolas Tango (this is a leftover from initial release in 2013.) Each set includes two colors for the mesh dress in your color choice plus a contrast color applier option.

The glamorous dress can be worn alone or with added silkTrain and black ivy, each floating in very nymph-esque ways. All attachments are decorated with elegant ivy vines and topped off with ivy wrist- and arm bands and a bit of ivy for your hair.

We have used a semi-exclusive mesh (10 copies) for the dress, so it is possible that you may own another outfit by other creators using this mesh. Good for you, as you may have an adjusted shape already to make "Maenad" fit perfectly!
