(free, mesh, fullperm) Ear Ring / Nose Ring

This item is a simple mesh unrigged earring. now set to free.

The ring has a bump map and texture to simulate brushed stainless steel. there is also a simulated environment reflection in the material, as well as its own light reflection maps.

The ball mounted on the ring is a separate material, so you can change the color or material independently of the main ring. There is an invisible sphere as part of the mesh that encompasses the ring so you can scale the ring down to what would normally be impossible levels, if it was prim.(you could easily fit this to a tiny or feral avatar)

If you wish to tint the ball or ring independently of each other you will need to possibly turn on "disable camera constraints/enable camera clipping" in your viewer menu to zoom your camera through the outer invisible ball, and use "select face" on the individual components.

Since it is unrigged, it can be used wherever, if you are using a furry avatar or have long, rigged mesh ears you may have to use the "Alt Ear" attachment points so that it moves with your ear position.


(Recommended: set the axis in the edit menu from “Attachment” to “Local”, it will make rotating the ring easier when placing> However, it will be easier to move the ring on “Attachment”)

Notice: if you place this on non-static areas with basic idle animations such as breathing animations, it most likely will not follow these animations. Expect it to behave as if you attached a prim to your avatar. However, it should keep up with poseable ears and items.
