Efficient true 3D mesh using careful design and engineering means that even this level of detail uses a minimum amount of resources, so it won't slow down your sim. A single UV mapped image for all the textures allows quick rezzing!

Engineered LOD!
Have you ever noticed how many mesh items distort into ugly blobs and triangles when viewed from a distance? This fence has an "Engineered LOD" (Level Of Detail) to prevent that! No matter how far away you get it still looks like a log fence, until the point it finally vanishes from view. Engineering LOD's is a lot of extra work, so most designers don't do it. But you'll agree it is worth the effort when you see how great it makes your sim look!

DETAILS
Size: Fence post is 1.3m high, this size looks better in SL than a standard "real life" fence height of 1m. Length of this section (including post and rails) is noted in the product name above.

Fully engineered LOD means the fence does not distort into ugly blobs or triangles as you move farther away from it.

Each fence section consists of one vertical post with two horizontal rails. A separate vertical end post is included to anchor the end of your fence.

A second backup copy is provided for your convenience. It is identical to the original, if you accidentally delete the original you will appreciate this!

INSTALLATION AND MODIFYING
An included Help Notecard contains full instructions for installing and modifying the fence. You can make it darker or lighter, and the size may be modified slightly. Note that changing the size by more than 10% creates noticeable distortion of the post shape, that is why multiple fence sections of different lengths are available.
