This is rain ... like what falls from the sky in RL. Just rez the invisible prim and it will begin to rain. Hit CTRL+ALT+T at the same time on your keyboard to see the prim so you can move it or take it back into your inventory.

Here are some simple instructions for the rainmaker.
Type in chat:
/on to start the rain
/off to stop the rain
To remove the item
1. stop the rain by saying: /off,
2. select 'Highlight Transparent ' from the 'View' menu in your menubar. (Or press ctrl-alt-t.)
3. Look for a large (8m size) red sphere, this is the rainmaker
4. Delete it
nice but not full perm - not adjustable at all
unlike how this item is listed "Permissions:Copy Modify Transfer" this is not at all the case
the script the texture and the sound are all no copy and no mod so you cant adjust the sound volume or the rain particles .. only the sphere is full permissions..
this is a very nice product very pretty and ready to go if you like loud and heavy rain
will have to build my own so i can adjust it to my likings .. for me this one is a bit to much, it is as loud and heavy as when you expect thunder and lightning ..

I should have read the reviews before getting item, I was trying to see what the texture looked like since I can't get any I have to work as they should. The second I copied into my inventory so I could take a close look at the texture I was logged out of SL with no warning. Now when using that av to log in I get a message how the area is under maintenance even though I can log into the same land with another av.

This is a really good rain for only 0 lindens.. and it covors a big area.
but since i use it to just let it rain outside my windows att my skybox its abit 2 big. but i made it work even tho i wish there was a smaller version.
The sound it really nice even tho i wish you could turn only the sound off.
Beside those small details its doing its job really really nicely! and iam so happy :)
it does rain
it rains, but is mod only in the sense you can reduce the size of the sphere. When it is taken into inventory it becomes 'no copy no mod', yet it is copy anyway....rather confusing.
