you can drive it also in mouselook mode rotating ship with mouse movement and pressing w s to move forward or backward the ship

It wants to act on your control input. You always can sit outside. You can sit and stand in it. But one way or another you will end up outside.
Very clumsy everything. Not even worth for free.
One of the best ships ever!
Rezzes fast and has great floor space and controls. Nice use of textures and prims.
