Yes, it works exactly as advertised. I already tried on myself after reseting the scripts and it worked perfectly. I gave the demo to my alt and it worked again perfectly.
Paying 10 linden for this will save you from paying many times 10 lindens for uploading the demo version of a specific texture. It saved me already 20 lindens since last night.
