Just rez this 1 Prim Mesh Skybox, size to the area you want, texture and instant skybox scene.
Full physical mesh, just DO NOT change "Physics Shape Type" to convex hull in edit mode.

Inside you have full reign to texture as you want.
You can texture all six sides with a separate texture.
Top, Bottom, Left, Right, Front and Back

Outside you can use two textures.
One will go on the Top/Bottom faces and one texture will go on the front/back/left/right faces.
