This incredibly easy-to-use script set is capable of producing a professional texture / color change menu system which can be applied to anything that you wish to build in Second Life. There are no editing of scripts or notecards involved.

Large colors list contains 42 varying colours in 10 grouped submenus.

Textures are not stored anywhere in the item's inventory, instead they are stored securely inside script memory, yet can still be applied to any number of prims within a linkset. This method was used because it is not possible to apply textures to linked prims using a single script without distributing textures with copy and transfer permissions (since a copy of the texture has to be transferred from the root prim's inventory onto the surface of another prim).

For an example of items created using this system please visit Deelish-ous Designs and see the new furniture section, or take a copy of the demo version.

Due to RL responsibilities I can no longer offer support for this product. Please try the demo version (which is now a fully functional but no transfer version of the script) before buying to be sure it matches your requirements and works ok for you.

Instructions:

1. Decide which linked prims are going to change texture and which will change colour, then add the identifier scripts into the linked prims (you may wish to do this before you link with Ctrl+L)

2. Place textures that you wish to appear in the root prim's inventory. (You must have full permissions on the textures, but they will be removed from the inventory upon compile and will not be distributed.)

3. Finally, place the menu script into the root prim. Textures and identifier scripts will all be removed from the item and a professional menu will be compiled, containing options for texture and color as required.

Notes:

If you wish for a colour or texture only menu then add only those identifier scripts, menu options will only be added where identifer scripts are found.

The amount of textures that you can use is limited only by script memory, I have not put a set limit on them because it depends on the specific textures as to how many can be loaded. I have tested with 50 textures and it worked fine, though I would say the approximate capacity is closer to 70. Loading too many textures will result in a Stack-Heap collision error upon compile.

Full transfer permissions are permitted on the menu script (which will be the only remaining script after compile). Your creations which use this system, and the associated Intellectual Property rights, remain yours if they were yours beforehand.

Jessikiti's Texture Menu protects against content theft. It allows you to sell your creations without modify permissions whilst retaining customizability. It also removes all your textures from the item's inventory and stores them securely in script memory so they cannot be stolen.

This purpose of this item is to allow multiple linked prim's surfaces to be changed as a group, if you would prefer single prims to change individually with a seperate menu then I have developed a single prim version which will do exactly that. It can be used individually or in conjunction with this product.

Good script, easy to use, does what says in the tin. Just wish Jessikiti would make the same script what would change different parts of object with different colours and textures. For example, change textures in cushion 1 of a sofa, but only colours in cushion 2, colours at the base, textures in the arm rest and so on.

When i try it on many prims, after deleting identifiers script miss some prims, it's usefull only on low prims objects. Also if you add or remove something from object script stops working properly.

By far one of the most useful and easy to use scripts i've purchased so far. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Thx :-D

While I created only one object so far, my alt has this particular script and I had to have it on this account as well. It's among my must have's in my inventory. Easy to use and set up. 5 stars easily!
And a BIG thank you (edited review here) for making permission versions! :p
