M&M Deco Chess Board
===============
The M&M Deco chess board helps you playing chess in a very comfortable way. The highly sophisticated script inside lets you easily move the pieces and checks all moves in advance. No server is used and all processing of the board is done with only one script.
The chess board consists of the board itself and a chess clock.
To use the clock just put it near the board and it will work automatically controlled by the board. The clock will show the names of the opponents and a short status message. The left clock shows the time used up by white and the right clock shows the used time for black.
Initialize
=====
To start a game click on the board and the pieces will be rezzed and pushed to the right places. You need 32 free prims for the pieces after rezzing the board and optionally the clock to succesfully initialize it.
Next thing is that first the white player 1 and then the black player 2 click on the board to register with it. After this only the right players will be able to access the pieces and the board.
Move
====
You and your opponent move one piece in turn.
To select a piece, just click on the piece and a yellow point will occur above the selected piece. Then click on a field where you want to move it or alternatively click on a opponent piece to take it. It is possible to deselect a piece by clicking on it again.
Only legal moves are possible! You will get a chat message and the move is not executed if trying to move a piece that can't be moved or move a piece to an impossible place.
If you want to make a castling, then just move the king by 2 fields to the right or to the left. The rook will move automatically. Note that castlings only possible if:
1) no piece is between king and rook
2) the king and the rook have not been moved up to now.
3) no field from king up to 2 fields left (or right) ar threatened.
To take en passant just move the pawn to the empty field behind the pawn to be taken. Note that taking en passant is only possible if:
1) you pawn stands beneath the pawn to be taken
2) the opponent pawn has just been moved 2 fields
To propagate a pawn just move it to the last row. You will get a menu asking you if you want to propagate it to a rook, a knight, a bishop or a queen. Propagations to a pawn or a king are not possible!
Clear
====
You can abort a game any time after a complete move. Click on the small red field with the "R" in the corner and select "Clear". All pieces will be removed and the board is ready for initialization again.
List
===
You can output a list of moves done so far any time after a complete move. Click on the small red field with the "R" in the corner and select "List". A complete list of all moves will be written to the chat.

Great start for my needs, but doesn't recognize checkmates
Bought this hoping I could use it as a base for a living chessboard with avatars as the pieces, but found out when I tested it first that it doesn't recognize a checkmate. I also had a couple issues where the script failed to move a piece or left a piece untouchable which can affect the game, but it seems to be an uncommon issue,. not frequent. And yes, this was playing the game right out of the box. One thing I would have liked though is having the pieces move on and off the board during captures and resets instead of derezzing them. So far though, this has come closest to what I need for my living chessmen; converting the pieces into poseballs let me move the avatars around the board as if they were the chessmen, although they become unseated when captured since the pieces derezz, but that's only a problem if the avatar is AFK and unable to walk off the board ;-)
Meh, so long as you Enjoy a Stupid Large Board
This works just fine! The moment you try to size it up to a reasonable size? Waste of time, the pieces appear as only blobs to me and others around me. This is great, just make sure you have plenty of space for it!
