I read the reviews and new this would be good but I didn't realize it would be this good. It is an outstanding piece of equipment. This is next level. I couldn't be happier!

WOW! This is a great build! You can add floors if you wish, and easily adjust the height level of the floors to! I needed some extra help to make it work with a choreography routine I did, and the builder was available and helpful. Pixxie went above and beyond! Great job!

It works great, if you can decipher the instructions

The instructions are horrible. There is no Step 1, it just skips to Step 2. Also in the linking order there is no ~Bottom prim! There are these FAQ's scattered in the notecard that could've been in a separate one. The instructions never tell you where to put the control wheel.
After all that I figured it out myself and it's working fine.

So here are my instructions:
STEP 1 - Open the Edit window, then rez the group linked elevator where you want the ground floor to be. When satisfied close Edit.
Step 2 - Unlink all the elevator parts (experienced builders can do the next steps with Edit Linked checked)
Step 3 - Determine where your floors will be. The structure has a max height of 64 meters, but is recommended to stay under 40. The X-Shaped bracers determine each floor level. If you need more than 3, copy the bracer to the next floor. Then rename it for that floor (and add the floor to the notecard in the elevator platform too)
Step 4 - Stretch the Support Beams and the Chains to the top floor height. Then move the ~Top & ~Chainbox up to the top floor. Adjust everything so it looks nice. The support beams and chain's textures can be repeated so they don't look stretched out
Step 5 - Linking order is very important! Start with the Ground floor bracer, hold Shift and then select each subsequent bracer at each floor. Then select the Chains, Chainbox, Top and finally the Support Beams (the Support Beams must be selected last so they become the Root prim). Do not link the elevator platform
Step 6 - Rez out the Control Wheel in front of each floor level. The position of it doesn't really matter. Do not link it.
Step 7 - Stand on the platform, click the wheel, choose a floor, and enjoy the ride!
Now really was that so difficult?

I have used many elevators in my builds, and this is by far the easiest to configure and operate.

Looks, sounds, and works great! However, the instructions are terrible - LOL
