Why just give a rose when you can give a vase of a dozen! You can click the vase to toggle whether it drops the petals or not. (particles must be turned on in your settings)
A dozen roses , in a fancy glass vase , with falling petals. Note: i happen to think this looks much nicer in SL then the pic i took (the lettering of course is only on the example pic) Only 4 prim, only $100L ....what better way to say " i love you " ?
