Sit on the scale to get a script and memory count of your avatar attachments. Display alerts if your avatar has over 3mb of script memory usage (configurable to any limit).
The more scripted objects that are attached to your avatar, the heavier the drain on sim memory resources and the slower the response time. Until you weigh yourself, you may not even realize that outdated scripting of your hair, boots, jewelry or HUDs results in dozens or hundreds of unnecessary scripts that you're lugging around from sim to sim.

I always check if I'm going to cause lag or not by stepping onto this scale before I go anywhere. I can not go without this at all! Everyone should have this. Even the newbs/noobs/new users since usually they are mostly are the cause. This helps out a lot! :)
