This is NOT FINAL PRODUCT, It is just 3D model (shape). You need to texture or script it.
Package includes:
- 1 full perm (mod/copy/transfer) 0.5 LI multiface mesh;
- 1 (no mod/copy/no transfer) script shows possible states of mesh;
- read me;
Notes:
This is updated replaced for an easel sculpt map.
It is 0.5 LI mesh, means it takes only 1 prim from yours land, even if link two such easels it still will take 1 prim from yours land.
Multiface (8 face) mesh. Multiface means you can texture each of 8 faces with ANY regular texture you have or may have in inventory, Not requires any UV or other special textures.
Multiface allows to set some faces full transparent, that gives different visual states of easel, depends which faces set transparent. Inside package place script, that on touch switches through 4 states (empty easel, easel with horizontal picture frame, easel with vertical picture frame, no transparent faces).
Why would it needed ? Using one mesh instead of 3 for different states reduce SL using resources. Allows creating galleries with switching states depends on original RL orientation etc. You can even make simple script on click picture disapears leaving empty easel etc. Well it is building material, use yours imagination.
It has simple physics, to be compatible with linking in to prim system linkset, not only convex hull. Default rotation is not zero, it is what it is, again it made in reducing simple physics model.
How to:
Well if you can texture separate face on cube, this is absolutely the same.
For convenience by default each face has own color. Do not forget to remove color to not be confused after setting texture why it is too dark or other color.
To see my vision of different states of this easel. Place inside script from package. Touch easel. It will change state through 4 states.
This script serves only for demonstration to you, remove it from content of object. so it will not confuse yours permissions.
Caveats:
- It is mesh, so it works like any mesh in SL, Increasing size may increase it prim cost from yours land.
- This mesh using custom mesh model for each LOD stage, so it logical reduce it details depends on camera view, like it must be, no chewing on distance.
You personal license allows:
- use mesh for building own creations as part of them;
- keep (not use) in 1(one) of yours alts,
You not allowed;
- To sell, share, gift, transfer, export this mesh as images, UUID, content of object, part of packs or list to any other person;
- To give away/resale/sale/etc full perm even as a part of creation. Must be set at least one of permissions, or no copy, or no modify, or no transfer;
- To transfer through grids and use outside Secondlife include export.
