Notes:
Prim cost and easy rendering was main idea of this set, also it is ANY texture compatible, compatible with new physics, and ideal shine reflective.
1LI means it takes 1 prim from yours land
3LI (6 prims) means takes 3 prim from yours land, while built with 6 prims. 6 prims also shows how much it will cost in wood textured set, or in common sculpts to build.
Marble and wood terms to separate wood from marble sets. cause there are enough differences why in all cases prefect marble set, but it has nothing to do with texture you may texture marble or wood with any other textures.
Wood set using absolutely the same sculpt but using classic building method and classic physics, so behaves like any other normal sculpts. Although still stays ideal reflection and any texture compatible. But unlike marble set it is twice heavier for rendering and linking many such prims increase this difference even more. So just use marble set =).
Stairs block contains mesh, simple 12 steps stairs. While I were too lazy to make angle sculpt fences for this set. This stairs block set uses regular prims for fences.
Modification:
This set not requires any special texture. Even if it named marble you can apply ANY texture you have or may have on it. No any special premade need.
Although this are sculpts. all but WOOD behave like mesh. So even if there are two sculpts linked it may cost 1 prim from yours land. That is what for different combination of linked blocks included in package.
All sculpts compatible with planar texturing. It is great for seamless textures like used here- marble one. If texture has edges. like wood textured here. recommend to use default texturing. Planar and default located as usually in yours viewer object edit- texture tab. As well this set can be set to high shininess with ideal flat reflecting effecting without chew look like many sculpts.
Prim cost less then usual achieves with simplifying physics on linked prims, that not much need it.
Like fences for sure need physics, while columns not. So fences left physics. while columns set to NONE (this setting in third tab of yours viewer object edit mode).
Inside simple regular prim with marble fences texture. This package contains samples where it uses.
In brief if you short on prims you may replace fences sculpt prim with this one. It is best for very long fences. Can save few prims. with less visual effect. Although of course it not looks so volumed.
You not limited to created blocks. Unlink, link, rotate, stretch, just remember always leave prims that requires physics with PRIM or CONVEX HULL physics and set all others to NONE. (root prim cannot be NONE). This way you ll keep prims from yours land.
HINT:
If you see number or prims not equal to 2, for example 3 prims in linkset. You may link 1 additional prim to this linkset for free. Like cemetery parcel uses 7 prims but cost 4LI you may link one more prim for free. Although sometimes it not works but in many cases it is.
Attention:
I have never had the following problems with my sculpt, but we are aware that this can happen: If the object continues to appear distorted, please force loading of the sculpt map by checking or unchecking the mirror and invert flags on the Edit -> Object Tab of the sculpt. If the problem continues, please check your LoD settings and your network connection to the SL server. If you don't know how to check these settings and connections, please ask your more-experienced friends for help.
- Do not use any phantom linkset script or change shape of prim, once you did that overall cost of prims may increase, you cannot fix this as only rez new copy and do not do what you did =).
- Linking two linksets that cost for example 2LI may have as result not 4 LI cost but 5, use resizing smart or set all PHYSICS to PRIM and operate like with normal sculpt prims.
- Using big prims aka more then 6.5 meters increase cost of regular hollow prims greatly. (such prim uses as cemetery fences for example).
