This hat is modeled after one in an 1891 advertisement, and is representative of an afternoon or walking out hat designed to fit over the hairstyles of the late 19th century.

Scale it up and tip it forward to push it into the 20th century for a more Edwardian look, or scale it down and tip it further back for the 1880s.
