1912 4 Seat Touring v2 (boxed)

In the early 1900's people rarely traveled 50 miles from where they were born in their lifetime. That was about to change! The founder of the company that made this car excitedly showed his idea for a low cost reliable car to inverters. They all said bad idea. He showed his friend Thomas Edison his car and Edison said it looks like a good idea,you should do it. Production started in 1908.Price was 850 dollars. They could make 25 a day. They got so many orders, they had to tell their dealers to stop taking orders! They then introduced the moving production line to speed production up and get the cost down. By 1927 the cost had come down to 285 dollars when the 15 millionth car rolled of the line. Originally all the bright metal was brass (yellow color) Hundred's of other car companies started up.The demand for more roads was enormous on government. The demand for steel,rubber,copper wire,everything that went into a car increased. Cities, business's sprang up on the new roads. The economy was so overheated that they called it the roaring 20's. It wasn't about the flapper girls and the speak ease's, it was about the money. People working in the new business's had enough money to by stuff. This car forever changed our lives.
