When is a fighting aircraft everything you could want in an aircraft? This one is. It flies well at low power (Take off is 40% and you can retract the landing gear in the same sim you took off in). It flies very well and does what you ask it to do, whether its on a Grid Flight (great group) or knocking the daylights out of Mustangs. It comes armed with both Vice and TCS systems, and in Vice you can launch a pair of Fritz X anti aircraft missiles at the Flying Fortress going to bomb das Vaterland.
Excellent flight characteristics, two fighting systems, missiles, and a relatively low price.... Why only four stars out of five?
It's a minor thing, but the real plane had swept wings and this has straight wings. That's it.
Sadly, 1942 only lives here in the Marketplace. It no longer maintains an inworld store (pity that, they had some great planes). There will be no updates, but this plane works so well it really doesn't need them.
How good is 1942? I have a separate folder in Inventory with seven of their aircraft. They are THAT GOOD! Try it, you'll like it-- a lot.
