the Magnum Pedestrian is no head-turner by no means necessary. A generic styling car if anyone was to imagine a generic image of a car this would be it.
During the early 80s Empire Magnum Motor Group E.M.M.G was facing financial troubles after the late 70s and the fuel embargo of the late 70s.and the company would have to shut down if they didn't come up with a way to pay back the government. the CEO of the company said " if we make cars that people can afford they will buy them."
Thus the first car in 1980 the Magnum Pedestrian was born.
Although Magnum did survive almost near bankruptcy they kept the car in production up until 1991.
the magnum pedestrian is powered by an inline 4 cylinder engine and is front-wheel drive, the overall interior is very simple with AM cassette deck radio basic climate controls, and cloth seats. Cup holders were an additional feature requested by the customer.
The pedestrian survives today in the back of used car dealership for the last two decades most don't even run anymore. magazines say " the 1990 magnum pedestrian a coupe that's less fun than walking" clearly wasn't true do too many owners claim it was the most reliable car they owned before they gave it up.
