This is a nice piece!
It's nicely done but it could look better with materials. If you know how to do textures it would be very easy to improve. The trick to linking more than one of these is to alpha the end posts. The way the faces are done you can't alpha just one end but if you apply a bit of creativity these should do nicely if you're building a fence.
