This item was what I needed. User can set the wall slightly into the ground to make the hedge shorter.
One unfortunate thing, though, is that the screen's object name/description are labeled as a marketing tool and default-set to "show in search". The problem with this is that if the screen is used at a commercial property and the builder doesn't notice that setting, the screen then shows up in the store's land-ad listings. Since SL's allsearch uses Google Algorhythms, this means that the store's legitimate keyword ratings are "watered" by the unrelated words of the screen name/description.
Great privacy screen. Neighbors built a store next to my home GRRRR. This privacy screen did the trick to hide their business.
