Version 2.0 is now resizeable!
Hangman is traditionally a game for two players, where one sets out a word or phrase, using dashes to represent each letter, and the other tries to guess what it is letter by letter. This version includes Solitaire and Everyone options.
Wrong letters go towards the construction of a gallows and a stick figure being hung on it. The 'guesser' wins if she manage to guess before the gallows is complete. If she fails, then the 'setter' wins.
The winner sets the next word/phrase.

QUICK START
========
1. Rez the game - YOU MUST PERMIT THE OBJECT THE LINK AND DE-LINK when you first rez it. Text prims are rezzed and linked, as many as required for the word/phrase set. The game cannot work without this permission.
2. Click the brass panel for options ...
PLAY
===
The game will scan for nearby avatars, and offer you a the option to play SOLITAIRE, or to play against one of the names.
NAMED OPPONENT:
i) When you have selected a name, enter a word/phrase in the text box that pops up.
ii) The opponent should start guessing letters, or the whole word/phrase if they think they know
it.
EVERYONE OPTION
Like the Named Opponent option, except everyone can join in guessing.
SOLITAIRE OPTION
i) A word will be selected from the currently selected list in the contents of the game. (A default list is included)
ii) You then start guessing letters, or the whole word/phrase if you think you know it.
The game will continue in the current form with the current players until END/RESET is selected from options.
OPTIONS
======
PUBLIC/PRIVATE (owner-only option) - Setting to PUBLIC allows any other person to initiate games, or play solitaire on your machine. If PUBLIC, then anyone can also guess during Solitaire games. (Default: PUBLIC)
HARD/EASY - determines how many wrong guesses are permitted. EASY uses the whole of the scaffold and allows 10 wrong guesses; HARD uses just the stick figure and allows 6 wrong guesses. (Default: HARD)
CONCEDE - If you are the guesser, this option is available to concede the current game. You lose, the word/phrase is revealed, and a new round begins.
SKIP (solitaire) - as an alternative to concede, goes to the next word/phrase without revealing the current one.
Word Lists - For playing solitaire, an initial Word List is included in the game, but you can add your own word lists e.g. get someone else to make one up for you, or swap lists with other users. You can select between word lists using this option.
END/RESET - Cancels any current games, allowing a new opponent to be selected.
RETURN - exits options and returns to the game.
UPDATES (owner-only option) - check for updates. If yours is not the latest version, an update will be sent to you.
CANCEL
=====
Exits the dialog without taking any action.
Creating your own Word Lists
===================
You can create your own Notecards with new lists of words/phrases. Give it a suitable name, and simply put one entry per line, save, and put in the contents of the Game.
The Game will automatically detect the new notecard and add it to the list of available Lists. You can then select the new notecard via OPTIONS>New List
If you start a line with two asterisks, **, then it will be treated as a comment. You can use this for example to notify the player of the current theme or topic, e.g. ...
** The theme is now Book Titles
The notecard can be no-mod if you like. In this way you can swap Lists with other game owners, and keep the list hidden.

NOTE: The prim count is given as 6 - however, when the game is being played, the device rezzes as many 'xytext' prims as are needed to display the word/phrase - 1 prim per 10 letters, so the total prim count during a game will be normally 7 or 8 - perhaps more for very long words of phrases.

Delighted With This One!
This is a smoothly working hangman that makes it a pleasure to miss a letter. (The poor guy on the gallows is too cute!) The starting set of "words" is perfect for readers or viewers of classic films. It is easy, though, to add to the existing set (as is essential with all games of this type).
I spotted this many years ago and was tempted, but the small size ultimately made the decision. I wound up making my own, inferior, hangman game instead. I don't know when the resize option was added, but the moment I discovered this version on the marketplace, there was an instant purchase!

Good game!
This is a good hangman game with a variety of game options, including the choice of 6 or 10 guesses. Yes, the game is resizeable and is only 8 LI. Players can use the default word list or input their own.
An area for improvement is that the letters in the puzzle words should be larger and vertical so that everyone can see.

Somebody wrote a review that you can't change the size of the board. You certainly can, simply right click and edit and make the size you want. For 150L, you can't beat the price!!
Excellent game, better than others
Unlike a similar game for the same price, this one enables you to play with an opponent, to set private or public, and is copyable to place at multiple venues. It's fast and also looks good on a bar or other table. The only problem I had is I couldn't figure out how to get it started, but had I read the notecard, I'd realize I had to click the brass plate : ) Good job!
