I guess I got a bit carried away here. The Mirage 02 was meant to just be a Mirage 01 scaled down to fit a standard 512 m2 parcel. But I did the finishing touches in parallel with the first Poseidon series building and that style kind'a bled over.
The result: a slightly tattered and worn desert cottage with a paved, enclosed courtyard, a roof terrace and some absolutely lovely wood details using two amazing old textures by Crazy Mole and Tooter Claxton.
Now, if just somebody could make a science fiction movie set in a desert environment. The Mirage 02 would have fitted right in...
Chin Rey's Mirage 02 is also available in a ground version, Mirage 02G. The only difference is that the 02G has an opening in the wall around the courtyard.

Modifying the item
Chin Rey's Mirage Open Skybox 02 is fully modifiable. That means you can resize it to any size you like (either manually or with the enclosed MBAGR resizer script) and change the textures to anything you like.

About the Mirage Series
Mirage was one of my first big projects in Second Life: a science fiction town, vaguely North African inspired, made from buildings floating freely in the air and only connected by teleporters and maybe occasional narrow footbridges.

The project was dormant for a long time while I was busy building Coniston but eventually I found time to finish some of the buildings, converting them from very low LI prims to extremely low LI meshes and also adding a few extra details hopefully without sacrificing the basic simple functional style. Some of the buildings also turned out to stand firm on solid ground too so I ended up making desert-scifi ground versions of them.

One warning: the Mirage skyboxes are *open* skyboxes, not recommended if you suffer from virtual vertigo. But if that's not a problem for you, living or working in a Mirage skybox, completely surrounded by clear sky, is an amazing experience.
