+ 6 land impact
+ LOD resistant
+ Low lag
+ SOLID MESH!
+ 12x8 m
+ High ceiling
+ Mesh timberframe
+ Thatched hip roof
+ Weathered wood floor
+ Leadlight windows
A classic late medieval "Black and White" timberframe cottage, complete with leadlight windows, thatched hip roof and a weathered wood plank floor.
The building is "quirky" enough to fit into a fantasy setting but still realistic enough to fit a more "genuine" medieval setting.
The open roof gives lots of interior height so you should never have problems with your camera inside even if for some reason you use the default birdseye view camera position.
The land impact (or prim count) is only six but unlike so many other "low LI" or "low prim" buildings it has proper LOD, looking good not only close up but even half a sim or more away!

About the Derwent Series
Derwent is the name of my Tudor style houses, perfect for a medieval or Go*'an sims but also very suitable for other rustic/old fashioned environments.
The Derwent series features:
+ Low land impact - just like all other Chin Rey houses
+ Low lag - keeping the scripts and textures down to what the houses actually need
+ Attention to details - again, like all Chin Rey houses :-)
+ Mesh timberframes - no tacky looking painted-on wood beams here!
+ Variety - Several distinctively different models, not just minor variations of the same basic house.
The term "Tudor" has at least three very different meanings in SL. We have those lovely, flamboyant "half melted" fairy tale buildings, we have the "old and worn" style trying to show how these houses look today after centuries of wear and tear, and we have the "authentic" style emulating how these buildings looked back when they were still fairly new and in use.
The Derwent houses are very much in the "authentic" style. Walking into a settlement with Derwent houses should be like entering a time machine taking you 500 years back in time!
