This gemstone textures pack gives you everything you need to create stunning jewellery items, with an absolute minimum of land impact. Use these 3d textures for smaller gems and combine them with meshes (not included in this pack) for the larger gems.

These textures were baked using a powerful 3d rendering engine. They are tack sharp and photorealistic.

Use the new "Advanced Lighting Model" viewer feature to create a stunning glistening effect as the surface changes in specularity, according to the angle of lighting.

To show these textures off to their best remember to add some nearby prim light sources! It's also recommended to set a transparency of at least 1% to ensure the alpha channel activates properly on buggy viewers.

All diffuse textures are isolated on alpha/transparency and have no shadows. They can be easily exported onto your hard drive. Perfect for your jewellery or clothing projects!

All textures are 1024px resolution. We recommend you scale these textures down and re-upload for small/micro sized gems, to reduce the graphics card memory impact of your creations.

Additionally, the textures in this pack are compatible with the new "Advanced Lighting Model" feature in Second Life viewers. This allows for the creation of more realistic texture surfaces that respond like materials to lighting!

To see this texture at its best potential you'll need a recent viewer and you will need to enable the "advanced lighting model" under your preferences.

This option is enabled automatically for avatars with their graphics set to "High" or "Ultra". Avatars who do not enable this will see the standard textures only.
