Never disappoints
Compared to all modern guns I've used in RP since forever, the 696 AR is my go to choice. It has the perfect Sci Fi look and feel to it and the glow helps it to stand out. Works on targets of all kinds.
Way too expensive.
There are some far better alternatives for firearms. The animations & features are lacking, but on the plus side, I've never encountered any bugs or anything. The mesh & textures are probably the best part about it.

no answer ... so.. one more seller who claims to provide customer service when they don't
Nice looking gun, a little overpriced.
It is a very nice looking gun, and the HUD is nice and simple to use etc. But on the whole it's a little overpriced in my opinion, for what you actually get as far as animations and features are concerned.
Not what I was Expecting
It looks great, it works great for the most part if you don't care about recoil simulation. but As others have said, this product really lacks in the animation department. They seem to be the bog standard Gun animations of 3-4 years ago, possibly more. the reload isn't' even a bull-pup weapon reload, there's no crouching animations at all. Certainly not a L$1,500 weapon. But I am fairly happy with my purchase regardless as a Role-player.
Beautiful gun with great features and some minor flaws.
Right out of the box, you're struck with just how good looking the gun model is. The customization features are plentiful, with 4 sight options (iron sights, holo, red dot, and ARCO), a LAM option and a functional flashlight. There are multiple skins and color options, and the glow on the gun can be recolored with a good deal of preset options, or simply turned off, for that proper futuristic evil black rifle look.
The gun function options work as expected, and everything is easily controlled with the provided HUD, from appearance customizing to the technical stuff. I did have a complaint with the provided gestures, as they were no modify, so you have to make your own control gestures if you want to set them to anything other than F12 and Ctrl+F12. Not a major issue, but an annoyance a newcomer might not expect.
Another complaint was that there is no bullet spread, nor is there any setting to change it, so the rifle is laser accurate even at full auto. This is reasonable to see on the single fire, and maybe even the burst fire modes, but it feels a little too unrealistic for such a feature rich gun.
The animations, particularly the primary hold animation, leave much to be desired, especially for a L$1500 gun. The hold is too close to the chest, and clips heavily if you wear armor or have a female avatar. An option to choose a different hold animation, even if only one for close to the chest, and another for further away, would go a long way.
All in all, aesthetics on the rifle are top notch, but at the time of writing, a few features are a little lacking. That said, I'm happy with my purchase, and look forward to seeing more from the creator in the future, especially if it's an update for this lovely gun.
