747-400 [BLACK] (flyable)

Lear jet eater! Why settle for a mere lear jet when you can have your own 747-400?

Aproximate scale: 1:2. Prims: 30 (aircraft) + 84 (landing gear).

This is actually a vehicle. With over 40m in length, and over 40m wide, this aircraft is as large as a SL vehicle can be.

New (Jan/2009): Two flight modes: Normal and Advanced.

In normal mode, the controls are the same as the normal avatar controls, which makes it easy for anyone to fly it. You may even hover the aircraft like a helicopter, while during flight it retains the airplane-like motion (banking, nose slightly down during dives, and up during climbs, etc).

In the advanced mode, the controls change to a setup which resembles more a real aircraft.

To start the flight, just sit on the aircraft and touch it. Currently, only the owner can pilot it.

Automatic updates. As soon as an updated version is made, you will receive the updated version upon the next time you rez up the aircraft.

On mouselook mode, you can see the cockpit from inside (see screenshot), but the controls remain the same (so you can look to the side while still moving forward).

New (Dec-2010): Flight HUD with indicators and landing gear lever.

CAVEATS:

* NO INTERIOR. To keep the prim count below 31 in order to be flyable, the interior of the aircraft was kept empty.
* ONLY TWO AVATARS can be seated during flight.
