Hours of fishy fun are now yours to enjoy. Here's everything you need to know about your new pet fish!
(Your Pet And You)
For starters, right click the pet in your inventory, and "wear" it. Your pet swims around your head -- or whatever other attach point you like -- happy and content! However, your pet can do more than just orbit you like a piscean planetoid.
(Bubbles and Swim Speed)
Click on your pet to bring up a blue menu. Here, you can learn more about your pet... and change various options. Bubbles can be turned On and Off, and swimming can be set to three speeds: Slow, Fast, and Stopped.
(Naming)
Your pet can have a hovering nametag, declaring this not just to be a Goldfish or a Trout, but "Scooter" or "Gulpy"! Click the Nickname option from the menu, then say the new name aloud in SL's text chat. To clear a name, just say "none".
(Aquariums)
It's good to take your pet out for a walk, but when you want to go to the movies or have some quality time with the mister or missus, it's probably a good idea to leave the fish at home. That's where aquariums come in handy!
A variety of aquariums are available from any 7Seas Vendor (and some can even be fished out of the sea itself). Simply rez the aquarium, click your pet, and pick the "To Aquarium" option to send a COPY of your pet into any nearby public aquariums or aquariums you own. You won't lose your pet in the process, note, and can safely un-wear your pet now.
