Chin Rey's Kellie Village 04 is based on Linda Kellie's "Village Market store 4" and at first glance it looks almost identical to the original. The only difference you see right away is the roof. Kellie simply used the same yellow plaster texture there as for the walls, I have chosen to use a more traditional asphalt roof coating.
But there are several other differences too. In fact, the only things the two buildings really have in common are the overall shape, the awning and the lovely white timberframe/yellow plaster exterior wall design.
Kellie's original was of course made all from prims with all the limitations of prims. But this house is mesh (apart from two parts that still worked better as prims) allowing for far more lovely details and also bringing the land impact down from 30 to just 9.
Chin Rey's Kellie Village 04 is smaller than the original but I added a staircase up to the second floor (which is closed off in the original) so it actually has more effective floor and wall space.
I don't know what kind of build Kellie made her village market stores for but they all seem to have a certain maritime feel to them. Along the boardwalk at a seaside resort, that's where this store feels at home.

Modifying the item
Chin Rey's Kellie Village 04 is fully modifiable. That means you can resize it to any size you like (either manually or with the enclosed MBAGR resizer script) and change the textures to anything you like.
(To avoid any misunderstanding: Chin Rey's Kellie Village 04 will be listed as not modifiable in you inventory. That is because it contains a no-modify script. Once rezzed, the item itself can be modified any way you like.)

About the Kellie Series
Linda Kellie Henson - or Ayla Holt as she's better known as in Second Life - is one of the giants in the history of the metaverse. She made everything, clothes, avatars, animations, textures, scripts, houses, art, even complete sims. Her creativity and work capactiy seemed to have no limits. And everything she made she gave away freely for anybody to use and modify any way they like. Ayla Holt entered Second Life in 2006 and stayed here until 2010 when she left to explore the new alternative grids that started appearing, changing her main avatar name to Linda Kellie. In 2012 she left the virtual worlds completely to focus on her real life. She is sadly forgotten in Second Life today but on the smaller grids you can still see her works everywhere.
Chin Rey's Kellie Series is intended as a tribute to Linda Kellie. The buildings are all based on her designs but they are not just copies. What I have tried to do is take Kellie's basic basic design ideas and use them for modern, practical, low LI mesh buildings with far more details than what Kellie herself could do with just prims and sculpts and very limited time to work on each building.

That means you have permission to use in Second Life as many modified and unmodified copies as you like for your own personal use and as parts of public and rental builds owned by you or a group where you are one of the owners. You also have permission to keep as many copies as you like in your inventory. You do *not* have permission to distribute it in any way (This includes rezzing copies of the item on other people's land for other people's use!) or use it in any way outside Second Life.
