@AC ORCA JET-SKI OFF-SIM Box Version 1.04.05

GENERALITY
----------------

The ORCA Jet-ski is a vehicle that will allow you to navigate on all the aquatic areas of the Second Life grounds but also in "OFF-SIM", in areas normally inaccessible up to more than 900 m from the edges of the regions.

This gives you a lot of freedom to move around without constraints, to visit the "OFF-SIM" scenery and to navigate safely towards the unfathomable horizon.

The starting region must accept scripts and ground item drop.

THE JET-SKI REZZER
-----------------------

Drop the JET-SKI REZZER on the ground or better, in the SL ocean by the beach or a river. Adjust the height to the water level. That's all, the rezzer is ready to go.

Jet skis are usable by any avatar that would visit your land. This fun vehicle can generate traffic, if you wish, by offering your visitors the opportunity to use it at will, to run races with others. The jet ski can only carry the driver without a passenger.

REZZING A JET SKI
-------------------------

Jet skis can be rezzed in two ways:
1) With a click on the rezzer,
2) By automatic detection.

Indeed, the rezzer detects the presence of an avatar if it is less than 10m away from it and automatically generates a new jet-ski.

If no avatar is present in that radius, nothing happens. This avoids reizzing jet skis unnecessarily.

When a Jet Ski is rezzed, the user must sit on it and accept the attachment.

The jet ski is positioned at the right level at the water's edge, if necessary, at ground level.

You will find that, the color of the jet ski is different in each generation.

ON-SIM and OFF-SIM
--------------------------

The "ON-SIM" zone is the normal terrain with its waters, plains, mountains, roads and dwellings also called region. Here you can get around normally, on foot, on horseback, by car, as well as on the water, swimming, boating, even jet-skiing or other. Several regions can be joined together to form a very large piece of land like the one called the "continent".

The jet ski can move through all the water areas of the regions, always with a tricky passage between two adjacent sims. These borders need to be better approached at a reasonable speed to avoid an uncontrollable reaction. This is true for all vehicles in Second Life.

The "OFF-SIM" zone is that great infinite ocean that surrounds a region or a group of regions. At this border, sorry, you can only watch. It's like an impassable wall.

The ORCA JET-SKI allows you to go beyond this boundary with programming tricks not provided for in the LSL Script. Miraculous,

isn't it? You can go and visit this ocean up to about 1 km from the land coast, navigate in the middle of the OFF-SIM scenery and go around a region by sea. It's definitely a lot of fun, believe me.

Be careful, you can get lost in this aquatic nothingness. Indeed, at a distance of 1 km you may not see the coastal areas if the terrain is flat.

Don't panic, get up from the jet-ski and return to the classic ON-SIM zone.

In the OFF-SIM zone, you may notice a slight shake of the jet-ski, always due to the constraints of the LSL Script functions.

Hopefully, Linden is planning something in the future so I can improve this.

JET-SKI NPV
----------------

This jet-ski is based on the principle of NPV, (Non-Physical Vehicle). The advantage of this type of vehicle is that it is not affected by any other objects. You can pass other boats, even collide with them, without being hindered or damaging the other vehicle.

You pass through it like a ghost.

It is also a vehicle of protection against potential grievances.

By its design:
- No malicious attack will be able to dislodge you,
- No attack will be able to follow you in an OFF-SIM zone,
