Astronomical Creations would like to present to you a new glider. It is a very handy vehicle which can be easily edited, performs a very low lag flights and looks nicely and professionally. In addition, this vehicle includes a very well textured flight deck.
It is a very modern, well-done, low lag design. I fly easily over inhabited sims, passing laggy sims easily. It flies smoothly on the same level; so you can make a 100 sims long trip 1m over the water level and never hit the surface. In addition its maneuverability allows you to flu into buildings and small places.
It is a great device for longer trips and an idea for a great time with friends travelling the grid. Whether you looking for a fun racing and chasing, a fine vehicle that can be easily edited, a well looking transport around the grid or a new way to visit places – the Glider is perfect for all of these.
It has a very nice texturing, brand new pleasant and silent engine sound, brand new animation, location script, effective particle emitters and proper dimensions.
You have all perms required to work with the Glider. You can access all the scripts, reuse all prims, change all textures and add things. You can change the performance, flight scripts, sounds… Basically, you can do whatever you imagine with the Glider but not sell it. You can’t sell any part, animation, sound, script or texture you found in the Glider with a profit. You also can’t give away the whole product for free in any commercial amounts. You cannot update, rescript or make any changes to the current construction, and sell it with or without profit. The Glider is a freebie sold by Astronomical Creations and has to stay so. You can use any of its parts in freebie products and give them away, but parts only as a piece of bigger construction. Healthy common sense please.
The Glider indicates it is made of 27 PRIMS LINKED PHYSICAL. The haul and window is one piece unlinked and 2 linked.
In the scripts you can easily change following features:
- ignite word; you can change ‘start’ to any word and make sure only you have the ‘key’ for it.
- engine sound; you can silent it, louder it, remove it or change it.
- flight speeds; you can change the set speed of flight and ascend/descent speed.
- particles; speed, lifetime, gravity of smoke.
- adjust position
- passenger position adjust + anime
Everything is explained step by step in the manual. I do recommend this vehicle to everyone learning to build in SL. It’s as easy as possible, as drama-free as possible, all parts can be reused in other creations with no extreme maneuvers. Almost a DO-IT-YOURSELF stuff :)
The Glider also includes a limited HUD. The HUD is actually only an altimeter working in both feet and meters. It’s still a nice one.

This is a beautiful flyer
I saw this in the sandbox and had to have one. Such a pretty creation. It has two hover fans, one on each side, and a blue exhaust in the rear. What really attracted me was the way it looked. It's all shiny chrome, with the company logo on both sides and on the back. There's a pointed spike in front where the intake is, and the fuselage is curved and sculpted to look very attractive. The sitting pose puts you down below the canopy (I don't like it when my head sticks out), and the flight is very slow and quiet, and this looks great both outside and inside. Sure, you could buy a Piper Cub or a C-130 and roar around, but how many times have you seen something like this fly past you? Another thing that attracted me to it was that it looks sort of like the Wraith Dart from Stargate Atlantis. Anyway, you can't beat the price for a full perm flyer that looks as great as this one.
