The AICHI AR-1000 is a general use robot. Originally developed as a test bed for new technologies, the AR-1000's rugged, modular design and adaptive AI system eventually led to its adoption as the basis for AICHI's consumer robotics line.
Though most robot buyers gravitate toward more specialized models, the easy-to-customize nature of the AR-1000 has made it popular in enthusiast circles. A small number of these units are sold each year, mostly to hobbyists and researchers.
