Specular (which can only be seen in advanced lighting) is the level of white and brightness in the shine caused by light sources such as projectors, the sun and local lighting. It really can look spectacular and makes objects such as mesh bodies and heads look far more real so long as the specular maps are enabled such as on the Shaylah mesh head.

For your information the Shaylah head is fully Specular enabled with not just the head skin active to shine but also the teeth, the eyelashes and even the eyeballs.

The eyeballs will react to local lights much like real eyes would. The shiny catch light reflections will increase or decrease due the environment the Shaylah head.
