What would happen if Celestia ever entered into Takama No Hara and the land of Okami? Amaterasu may be the mother of all, but at the times Tsukiyomi and Susanoo (in the mythology the game is based on to retell in modern fashion) challenged her rule she was not a meek Kami. Going by the Kojiki her aramitama can be very violent when needed. Personally Celestia to me seems more like Amaterasu's best friend Princess Dawn Weaver who weaves the dawn and the ceremonial garb. With her position within MLP however, at least pre-retirement, if such an incursion were to happen it would be treated as a challenge to authority requiring the ceremonial war garb.
I started with the feral forms of Ammy and Celestia in the foreground but wanted to include the human form of Amaterasu inspired by where in the Kojiki she dons the sacred beads to face off against her brother Susanoo (before she gets so fed up with the world and the bs within it that she withdraws to her cave).
I'm biased, Amaterasu to me would clearly win the challenge against Celestia. Others may interpret the scene differently.

The original was executed with a mixture of copic and ohuhu markers, metallic sharpies, and utilizing a white gel pen for highlights. Pencil guidelines were left lightly in place.
