The Dogs Bollocks
I bought this piece of kit a few days ago for my airfield (Fjellmark Field, Jotnar) because we needed somethign to rp with. Being of the mind set thet the bigger the better this seemd to be a good I dea. Whne i got it the instruction manual made me think but since figuring out what all the buttons/ levers/ switches do I have to say i have had so much fun with it. I would reccomend this iece of kit to any aurfield owner it it really is " the Dogs Bollocks" ( an somewhat crude english expression meaning bloody excellent. We are planning a training rp this weekend with it. Well done. am so impressed am goign to go and buy another one.

i love the HD ARFF Fire Truck; Titanium 4500A i fight fire with it i love how it got double wheels in the front & back also this is good if you starting a small airport Fire Dept.

1. Mesh and texture quality:
The model detail is very nice.The texture quality is excellent:
The vehicle comes with about half a dozen different themes, all of which are nicely detailed.

2. Customization:
A. Paintjob:
The product offers excellent options to customize through a menu - different parts can be assigned different colors, various decals can be custom textures.
The creator offers Paintshop or GIMP compatible layered files for download to create your own paintjob and apply that through a texturing script (included).
Downside: The vehicle is NO MOD, so applying "shiny" effects or custom bump maps cannot be done.
B. Scripts and Add-ons:
The vehicle is NO MOD, so adding custom parts or custom scripts cannot be done. However, the creator is very responsive to customer requests. Just ask and see.
3. Interactivity and compatibility:
Excellent.
Lots of interactive parts, the overall HD fire package is nicely done and compatible with various other brandname products.
Most notably, the product comes with a modular HUD that works with all HD products (except boats). One HUD for all! AWESOME!
4. Use of RLV:
Wow. This rocks!
With RLV enabled, all equipment will auto-attach without the annoying viewerside "Do you want to allow this" dialog. Makes things more immersive. Good job!
Also, when carrying a hose and walking beyond maximum hose length available, RLV will prevent further movement. VERY NICE!
5. Lay your own fires:
HD fires are available on MP for FREE. Lots of options to make a fire easy or hard etc, enforce use of certain extinguishing agents (e.g. cannot kill a fuel fire with water only).
6. Comparison with other products:
The creator offers various sizes and types of fire trucks.
If you wonder which one is best for you - I'd recommend the 4500A.
It makes a great compromise between size, agility and capacity.
