Created as a tool for in-world photography, the Spotlight Drone is a menu driven, 1 land impact projection spotlight. It has the additional feature, of being able to autopan... which allows the light beam to follow you as you move around, just as if someone were controlling it!
DIRECTIONS:
Rez a drone and position where you want it.
Menu is accessed by left clicking on the drone. From the menu you have access to the following options:
Range: This sets the range that the drone will track an avatar for autopanning. (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 & 30 meters)
Radius: This sets the radius of the spotlight. (5, 7, 10, 15, & 20 meters)
Control: This sets who can control the drone (Owner, Group, or All)
Colors: This sets the color of the light (one of 64 colors in 10 submenus, also has the on / off buttons in it)
Autopan: This sets the autopan feature to one of three options. Track the current user, track the closest avatar, or static (do not track).
The drone is a single mesh object, and is has modify permissions, which allows the owner of the drone to edit the additional light properties in SL edit mode if they desire. You can also retexture or resize the drone if you wish. NOTE: increasing the size WILL increase land impact of the mesh. Current size has a land impact of 1.
I hope you enjoy the drone, and all of the uses it could be applied to. It was created as a photography tool, but as one of my co-scripters mentioned, it could also be used as a fun little "security" device... or whatever else you could think of.

PERFECT
This right here is perfect. There is one thing I would change is the menu when choosing a color. It did not close out the menu and reopening it. Other than that, it is perfect, even with that small change. It is perfect.. Everyone needs to get a copy of this.

This is totally awesome and I can't believe it's free. I love that there are so many colors to choose from, you can make the light static. This is amazing and needs more ratings like come on this is great.
