"Security like it's never been done before" is the motto of this product. Indeed, various security orbs are only good AFTER you've whitelisted or blacklisted specific avatars, but they are completely useless until then.
AVASCAN changes the game on offenders. Instead of waiting for your input, it proactively scans avatars, and makes sure that they are either wearing all required attachments - and that they aren't wearing any banned attachments.
If you're only protecting your private home, simply create an object, give it a unique name, and list it as "required" in the AvaScan configuration. Then you can hand out this object - a key - to your friends, so that they can visit you without being kicked out. (If you really want to be fancy, you can use the mesh key attachment "AvaScan Key Template" provided as part of the package.)
NOTE: When handing out keys to your home, make sure to set permissions on the key so that "next owner" cannot copy and transfer the key to someone else!
If your requirements are more sophisticated, read up in the documentation about listing required items, using MULTIPLE GROUPS of items, or even BANNING certain attachments from your place.
And you get all of that (and more) in an extremely efficient form of a full mesh item with ONLY 1 PRIM IMPACT.

WHAT DO YOU GET WITH AVASCAN:
1. ITEM SCANNER
AVASCAN detects avatars in a given area, checks their attachments, and compares them to one of predefined groups of items. You can define either REQUIRED ITEMS, BANNED ITEMS, or both. Additionally, you can declare any number of avatars as "whitelisted". Those will be immune to AVASCAN.
The scanner is completely configurable, from the size of area covered, through its shape, frequency, all the way to messages it displays and actions it takes. Check the documentation inside the "config" file for more information.
2. SECURITY DEVICE
You can specify individual avatars using a whitelist, who will be graciously ignored by AVASCAN. Yes, you do want to do that for your landlord and their agents. Nothing annoys the land owner more than getting kicked from his land.
You can also specify individual avatars using a blacklist, who will be dealt with immediately - you can also define a different action than the one you take on everyone else.
3. NOTECARD, LANDMARK, GIFT GIVER
Most people are annoyed by intrusive greeters, notecard givers, and other desperately "friendly" tools. AVASCAN does none of that. It still doubles as a notecard/landmark/gift giver, but leaves the decision up to the visitor. The items will be only handed out when AVASCAN is clicked.

4. EXTENDABLE SCRIPT PLATFORM
If you're an advanced user and are capable of at least basic scripting, you can use the full-perm script "take_action" to completely customize AVASCAN's behavior. From custom actions against offenders and blacklisted avatars, through easily turning AVASCAN into a greeter, to adding more advanced features.
Besides the standard "take_action" API call which activates offender countermeasures, AVASCAN comes with five custom events:
avascan:event:enter - triggered when an avatar enters the AVASCAN's range
avascan:event:bannedseen - triggered when AVASCAN has recognized a banned/blacklisted avatar
avascan:event:noncompliant - triggered when an avatar is deemed as non-compliant with your required and banned item lists
avascan:event:complied - triggered when a previously non-compliant avatar corrected the issue and passed a scan
avascan:event:exit - triggered when an avatar leaves the AVASCAN's range
5. STANDARD MESSAGE / TEXTURE BOARD
AVASCAN boards also double as message/texture boards. AVASCAN's strength is extremely low prim cost: all items only have ** 1 PRIM COST ** !
On top of that, the hinged boards as well as the CCTV camera can be rotate in their hinges. To do so, select "Edit Linked" in the edit dialog, select the board or camera, and adjust their rotation.
6. FUTURE UPDATES AND EXTENSIONS
If you purchased the Enterprise edition, all and any updates will be delivered to you through our Update Checker, which is a part of the package.
Simply wear it, and allow the Checker a while to connect to our Update Center. If updates are available, you will be notified and a new version will be delivered.
If you purchased the Home or Venue editions, which contain no-copy items, you will receive a special item which will guide you through the update process as easily as possible.

NOTE: Due to the way SL displays permissions, your AvaScan items will show up as "no-mod" (because of a script inside). The mesh model and most of its contents CAN be modified.

Terrible non functioning possible scam.
resed my delivery only to find and avascan key template object , something i can do nothing with . there were no notecards , landmarks or ad picks certainly no board or camera . I can also not see much of anything else on inspection.
Tried going to the world store for a redelivery , there is no store its a private house. all searches found nothing except some groups with minimal people in it.
I would advise that you do not buy i seriously believe this could be scam.
