Version 2.0 now includes all new mesh & textures to improve LOD and display/render weight. This new Grasshill is now one complete mesh allowing the user to easily resize and move.
The AZ Grasshill design provides subtle landscaping variation both of the ground and grass. This item does not include any glow, or full bright that other similar SL builds may include. The design has been carefully crafted to ensure the most optimal mesh/textures/scripts to hopefully keep the build as low lag as possible and still look lovely. This item is built to link into the AZ Complete Environment set, and respond to weather and seasons, but can also be used in any landscape.
I hope you enjoy this simple new design and that it adds to your beautiful landscape design.
+ INCLUDED IN THIS SET+ (builds are modify/copy, scripts are copy only)

These mesh designs have been created to use the same set of textures in multiple ways to reduce display/render load for users.
These mesh designs include advanced materials where optimal.

SEASONS - All AZ landscape items are affected by the eight seasons. The grasshill mesh has a mixed variety of textures for 7 seasons and not visible in the winter. The ground prim included with the sample set has a different texture for all eight seasons.
GROUND - Allows you to choose the ground texture displayed on the hill mesh and ground mesh.
PLANTS - Allows you to change the short & tall grass/flowers built into the mesh hill.
ADMIN - when rezzed menu access defaults to owner only, to allow members of a group to access the menu simply click and edit item and check that you have your required group set in the "build" window. Then click on controller choose group.
If you would like anyone to change the season textures simply click "public" in admin menu. Only the owner has access to the admin menu.
+ UNPACKING +
I would suggest opening the "build" menu prior to rezzing anything as this allows for easy initial placement. In the sample set the control box is lower than the other linked items to allow you to move the box into the ground, edit to suit your situation. If you do not wish to change seasons you can set your texture and unlink the control box to delete it.
EDITING - You can add more or less grasshills or hills to one build by rezzing more mesh versions and simply linking it to the one control box. The only limits are SL restrictions for linksets no more than 256 items in one set and no further than 54m dia from the control box (root prim).
Please note the controller box that I suggest you move under the ground, must always be the last item to be linked (root prim) as it is the parent that controls all the other items.
** Each control box works on it's own distinct channel, so you are not able to change all linksets in a region at one time as you can in the AZ Complete Environment Set.
All new mesh designs are:
*100% Original Mesh
*Materials enabled & included where optimal
*Modify / Copy / NO TRANSFER
*Optimised scripts
+ PLEASE NOTE +
PRIM / LI - when all items are linked together or to the controller prims li number will reduce due to prim accounting methods (setting physics in build menu for many linked items to none also reduces load)
RESIZING - mesh the results can be somewhat varied (very high counts can suddenly occur) so please use caution.
PHYSICS - where appropriate each build has a custom physics shape built in, therefore they should be kept as prim or none, not convex hull (under physics shape features in the build menu).
MATERIALS - are added in builds where they add value. If you do not like how they look or aren't able to turn the advanced materials settings on due to pc constraints then feel free to remove them from the texture tab in the build window "bumpiness" "shininess".
Enjoy the beauty of virtual nature.

Very Well Done -- But Not Much of a Hill
This is a beautifully textured and put-together piece of mesh landscape. It comes with a really nice assortment of options for seasonal texturing, and the vegetation is also customizable through the built-in menu. It looks good, functions generally very well, and overall I recommend it highly.
I have two reservations that prevent me from giving it a straight-out five star rating. The first is that the control prim, which contains the scripts that allow one to customize the look of the mesh piece, is not a very elegant way of managing this function. A HUD would have been better, as one now has to hide or detach the visible prim that manages textures and vegetation.
The second is that, well, it's not really much of a hill. It's at best a slight rise in the ground, a sort of ridge that rises maybe a metre and a half or so above the base "ground level." It does look good, but if what you want is an actual hill, rather than a bit of undulating, uneven ground, this is probably not for you.
One other point in its favour: it works very well with grass mesh piece that you can purchase to accompany and complement it.
Overall, this was definitely worth the price, and I'd happily buy it again. I'd pay more, however, for a more impressive hill, probably built on a larger base. I hope the creator considers producing something like this.
Recommended highly, with only those reservations.
