Why Offer Both PBR & Legacy Textures?

Each purchase includes both PBR and Legacy texture versions. Aardvark is currently experimenting with how best to provide textures during this transition period in Second Life. My preferred method of texturing involves baked-in lighting, where highlights and shadows are part of the texture rather than being influenced by the environment.

To accommodate different preferences and viewer capabilities, I've provided both baked and PBR textures, ensuring visibility across all viewers that support PBR.

As of March 2025, Second Life is in a transition phase between legacy and PBR texturing. I’m actively gathering feedback from customers to determine the best approach moving forward. Your input helps shape future releases!
