This psychic 8 ball is based on the popular magic 8 ball real life toy. To use it right click on it in your inventory and select wear, it should attach to your right hand. Ask a question (you do not have to type it in chat.) and then touch the psychic 8 ball in your right hand. You will see your arm shake it and then hold it up in front of your face.
The fortune will be displayed in text chat and also as a texture on the ball, you can see this visually in mouselook if you have the setting turned on in preferences to see your avatar in mouselook.
( To turn this setting on in v2 based secondlife viewers, go to preferences, then to the Move & View tab, and check the 'Show me in Mouselook' checkbox)
If you wish to turn the chat text on or off you can do this with the commands in chat /1chaton and /1chatoff
If you drop the psychic 8 ball on the ground rather than attach it to your avatar it will follow you around floating in the air.
