teen avatar with potential if only the developer supported it
pros: nicely shaped mesh that looks great for a teenage boy. it's mod, so you can change the skin and even use your own custom alphas (be sure to use alpha masking mode and not alpha blending or you'll look bad under some lighting, which is a common issue in Advanced Lighting). it uses the DAZ Genesis skin UV for Michael 5, so you may be able to do something with that.
cons: uses a male base shape, but having tried scores of demo pants, only one pair of cargo shorts mostly fits, and only using a custom alpha that i made for my custom skin. i did not like the provided skin on this avatar at all. the alpha cuts in the hud do not really help unless wearing shirts and pants that cover the waist. the lower legs and feet do not line up with the standard avatar rig, so rigged shoes are not usable. does not use the standard SL skins, nor are there any Omega appliers for this mesh. the hands are fixed in a wide open position, not the typical "relaxed" state of most avatars and mesh hands. mesh hands from Slink or other vendors won't fit seamlessly either.
conclusion: do not buy this avatar unless you like to collect mesh bodies (like i do) and are willing to invest some time in testing and modding it. i see so much potential here, though, especially if some of the issues i noted above were addressed by the creator. how about a slightly bigger butt that would fit most XS male pants and shorts? how about rigging the lower legs to match the standard avatar position? how about fixing the hands? or even better, rig this avatar (and the others in this HV6 line) with Bento? HV7-Matt with Bento... hmmm. i might buy that even at a higher price. (but fixHV6-Matt first!)
empty the trash
simply without nothing of value, it's equals the my face of sucker for buy this profuct, lindens and time lost, throw in the trash and don't forget to empty the trash
Way too big...
Well... way too big for a "Child Avi". In fact, I tried to see if this would be a good youth avi... but even for that it's too big... it's just too similar to the default avi in terms of size. I was hoping to find a youth looking avi that works between the SMB body and this body but there doesn't seem to be any around. If this at least worked with regular SL skins, then it might work... but it doesnt.
Also the butt in particular is way too flat. Looks kind of weird.
For the most part it is OK
Looks a little plain, almost like a noob but what really got to me was not the fact that takes forever to get set up and not the fact that on a 15 inch screen, the HUD words are tiny but once the final product was initiated out, it gave me a Jiggle Butt. Yeah, my avatar's but was made of Jello. At least I got a good laugh out of it but not $1,400 worth. Gave it three stars cause I am sure, somewhere in that huge folder of many objects, there is a solution to the butt that flopped around like Homer Simpson's gut.
its a nice av
Like all mesh avatars this a little hard to dress and make work at first :)
but the end result it awesome the make did a good job.
Not really that great.....
Truthfully not worth it, it looks so female and the lips are just ungodly huge. No ass to it whatsoever and its not good. Its got some nice features such as be able to adjust the size of the shape to effect the mesh and the alpha hud for the mesh is great. However, making the avatar itself smaller causes the head to becomes almost impossible to use.
