There's no direct way to determine if an avatar is an ALT. But, it appears to be common for people to not set a payment method for avatars that they do not use as their primary.. So, the purpose of this HUD is to allow you to make some estimate of the number of ALTs in an area by counting those with and without payment status. An extra field provided by the scan is how many have a payment status and have used it. Usually, everyone with a payment status will have used it. But, the information is in the query response, so I provide it.
You can scan an entire region or the parcel.
Also, you can select the amount of detail that you'd like. If "Detail" is in effect, then the status of every avatar scanned will be reported along with the summary. If "Summary" is in effect, only the totals will be reported. This option stays set until you change it.
The greater the number of avatars present, the longer it will take to summarize the totals. It appears to take about 1.11 seconds per avatar the first time you run a scan in an area. If you repeat the scan, it goes much quicker the second time. It's not something that I am doing. It's just SL.
