Hi there, and thank you for your interest in my Wasp Junior sound pack for DSA aircraft!
A popular installation in the Electra as well as aftermarket modification in the PT-17 Stearman, the Wasp Junior is a powerful radial that will fit with any aircraft you decide to install the sounds on.
Personally, it would be a little odd to put it on a non-radial installation, but it's compatible, so do whatever you like!
-IMPORTANT!- Due to the update of the Stearman, please drop the script into the engine face, rather than the propeller face. The sound scripting and emission was moved there.
- Easy Drop-In installation
- Accurate Wasp Junior Sounds
Amazing soundpack
And another stunning soundpack. I did buy it for my Electra. Before buy, i checked my plane and did not found any sound in the linkset.
In fact, i had not to check for sounds, but for scripts. As it s difficult to know which script we have to delete for replace by those in the pack, here is the answer.
On the Electra (Electrohawk called by DSA), in front of each preopeller is an invisible cube. in each cube is a script, called "New Script" (yeah.... very easy to know huh?)
Once i know that, i buy it.
These scripts in the cubes have to be deleted, then replace by the sound script for the left engine in the left cube and this for the right engine in the right cube. Take your plane back in your inventory, and it s done.
Thank you for the help to find all that too.
Nice sound!
Bought this for my Stearman easy install and really sounds GREAT!
However, cannot install on my DSA Electra. Seems the Electra has no separate sound script.
I may have missed something here with my Electra. If anyone knows how to install, please let me know.
Great sound
I just bought this sound and am now 100% satisfied with it. Initially, it didn't get copied to my inventory, not the builders doing but SL screwing up....again. After I opened it, it disappeared from my inventory but reappeared 3 days later. Go figure.
After installing the sound in a single engine radial engine plane (the Stearman..and yes they did put Wasp engines in these as an aftermarket item), which was very easy to do, the sound produced when starting and running was much improved from the original sound supplied with the plane. It has a more "beefy" sound than the original. It has the typical wasp buzzing sound that these engines made at about 3/4 to full power. I have heard these engines in RL and the builder has captured the sound accurately. This wasp buzzing sound is not a bug, as some people have told me, but actually the way these engines sounded. I was originally a bit put off with the stopping sound since some radial engines do sort of "clank" around when shutting down, this one doesn't but its stopping sound has grown on me.
Acid has also included two engines, one marked "Right" so they can be used in twins, like the Electra or any twin radial engine plane.
If you love the sound of radial engines as I do, this is a great, inexpensive way to improve the terrific sound of your radial engines.
