ok, but...
This is just a 3 star rating simply becasue of a no copy for the sand dune. Beaches have more than one sand dune. The grass and sand castle are copy, but not the dune. Grass is nice - sand castle not so nice. I'll be looking elsewhere.
really cool - and its 1 prim
I was expecting this item to be a lot smaller because of the last review, but it actually covers quite a good area of land. Its sort of a rectangle shape, and I like the fact that Ive never seen this sculpt map before, so it looks unique on the land. The item is not hard to select (as the other review also said) it is typical for a one prim item. If you have trouble just go to the edit menu on a larger item and without closing that click the grass, that will give you the item in your edit menu without trouble. I had no problems. The creator has marked this item as 3 prims on the description BUT it is not. It is 1 prim.. I guess he put "3 prims" because he has also included a free gift of a sand dune and a sand castle which are also one prim, but nothing is linked so you don't have to use them if you choose not to. The grass is a more golden color than in this picture but it is also modify (and copy) so that is not a problem to tint it. I have to add that the sand sculpt enclosed is very nice also, very realistic looking. Overall I think this is a great item and I thank the creator for the lovely gifts that come with it. Very nice.
Perfect for my needs
I have a skybox that only has a little land - beach themed - so this was perfect to keep the ground from looking so boring. I can use it to fill in the big patches (it's sparse of course - just like beach grass should be) and then use individual plants and clumps to fill in. The rectangle is a good size and in addition it comes not only with the cute sand castle, but a dune. Note the grass patch is not resizable, but fortunately the designer lets you know exactly what size it is (4.6 x 10). Nice color changes with the sun. Be aware it is very hard to select though - I keep getting the ground underneath it :-)
